Barbara Worth

Barbara F. Worth, MS CCC-SLP is a Speech Language Pathologist and is the Senior Voice Therapist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. With more than 20 years of clinical practice, her current specializations include the treatment of voice disorders in singers, and in the voice and communication modification for transgender individuals. Her work with the transgender community also include co-facilitation of a psychoeducational voice group and as a leadership council member for the Butterfly Music Transgender Chorus. Barbara has been an invited speaker for local, national and international organizations. She has taught courses and lectured extensively, most recently at Northeastern University and The New England Conservatory of Music. She also recently completed a blog article on vocal nodules and a webinar series on vocal health for the Institute for Vocal Advancement, an organization that trains singing teachers in vocal pedagogy. Barbara is passionate about teaching and mentoring Speech Pathology graduate students and others about all things voice!
