PiP isn't about the process, it isn't Trans101 - the conference offers many seminars for the transgender individual. PiP as about partners focusing on their own needs, wants and desires, a place to focus on what they want and need from the relationship with their transgender spouse. Women are taught to take care of everyone else, to put others needs first, often to the neglect of themselves. PiP is a place for partners to focus inward, take care of themelves, and, in so doing, help their relationships. Male spouses are also welcome PiP groups are an outpouring of joy and pain, tears and laughter. A place to be heard, share and get the support you need..

Being the spouse of someone who is trans, whether a cross-dresser or transsexual, can be very isolating - and very difficult to deal with on your own. Often, no one knows. This is a safe place to share, hear the stories of other spouses and gain support, share ideas on whether to share with family and friends, and perhaps learn some strategies if you decide to share with your loved ones.

Some breach of trust is almost always present in a relationship where there is a trans partner, no matter at what point the truth was revealed. In this session, we will talk about the meanings we have for trust and its importance in any relationship. We will also explore ways that broken trust can be repaired and protected going forward.
